On behalf of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Azmi Mahafzah, the Secretary General of the Ministry, Dr. Mamoun Al-Dubai, sponsored the closing ceremony of the “Best Promotional Video about Jordan” competition on Wednesday. The event was attended by ambassadors, cultural attachés/advisors, and presidents of Jordanian universities.

Three international students studying in Jordan won the top prizes:

• First place: Nasser Ahmad Masalmeh (Syrian), Philadelphia University

• Second place: Israa Mohammed Rajab (Bahraini), Jordan University of Science and Technology

• Third place: Bahaa Eldin Mohammed El-Qanawy (Egyptian), Ajloun National University

The Ministry will publish the winning videos on its website and social media platforms.

A total of 45 international students met the entry requirements for the competition. Participants were required to be non-Jordanian students enrolled in any Jordanian higher education institution. A judging panel included academics and media professionals from the University of Jordan, Petra University, Roya TV, and Amman TV.

The winners received the following cash prizes:

• First place: 2,000 JOD

• Second place: 1,500 JOD

• Third place: 1,000 JOD

The Ministry also honored the competition sponsors: Cairo Amman Bank, the International Arab Islamic Bank, and Huawei Jordan.

This initiative is part of the Ministry’s broader campaign “You Are Jordan’s Ambassadors,” launched in collaboration with the Jordan Tourism Board as part of the 2023–2027 strategy to attract more international students and promote educational tourism in the Kingdom.
