Secretary General of the Ministry of Higher Education, Dr. Mamoun Al-Dubai, sponsored the closing ceremony of the “International Students Quran Recitation Competition” for the year 2025, in the presence of ambassadors, cultural attachés, and university presidents. First place was awarded to student Mohammad Fayyadh bin Fawzi (Malaysian), from the World Islamic Sciences and Education University. Second place went to Badr Mohammad Al-Houry (Syrian), from Zarqa Private University, and third place to Natthanon Mat Wang (Thai), from Yarmouk University. The competition aims to honor the Holy Quran during Ramadan and promote the culture of recitation and Tajweed. A total of 218 students from 23 countries studying at 24 Jordanian higher education institutions participated. A panel of expert judges in Quran recitation and vocal maqamat was formed. The Ministry, in cooperation with Huawei, awarded financial and in-kind prizes to the winners.
